Although the record has some drum and bass backing in the 4/4 section, it works well as a solo as long as you keep the rhythym going between bars 67 to 80. Chet's technique with artificial harmonics has been described in magazine articles over the years, usually with reference to his arrangement of "When you wish upon a star". In case this is your first encounter with it, here are some some suggestions for the right hand fingering of the 3/4 section: Bars 2 to 12: pick the 1st and 2nd string notes with the ring finger, using the index finger to create the harmonic by touching the string 12 frets above the left hand finger position. Bar 13 onwards : the harmonics on the 3rd or 4th string are still created by the index finger but the notes are picked with the thumb or thumb pick, while using the ring finger to pick the 1st or 2nd string. Bar 14: on the record the first A is not a harmonic and who am I to argue?cw %).38 %).38
